Artist statement about the Totem Series 2017

These sculptures are a combination of structures that were formed from both recycled packaging, such as tea boxes, milk cartons, and shipping containers as well as structures I constructed from different materials. They are then finished with a variety of acrylic mediums and paints, photo transfers of images from my travels, papers, metals, wood and found objects. I like to think of them all as "Green Built".
